Lyndon B Johnson Never Met Queen Elizabeth II Because...

Lyndon B. Johnson is the only president out of the last 12 to not met Queen Elizabeth II during his reign. Here are photos of the other 11 presidents with Queen Elizabeth.

It mainly was a matter of circumstance that their paths never crossed and had nothing to do with foreign policy. The Queen would've met LBJ if she had attended JFK's funeral, but she was pregnant at the time and didn't make the trip. This birth (Edward) in 1964 kept her from visiting the US, actually she didn't visit between 1957 and 1976.

Queen Elizabeth visited honoring Canada's Centennial of Confederation in October, 1964...but Lyndon Johnson was busy campaigning for election the next month.

1965: Only a single state trip to two African countries

1966: Lengthy cruise to Caribbean with family

1967: Queen visited Montreal and Expo '67 in late June, Johnson's plate was full

1968: Queen only made a 2 week trip to South Africa

World travel 40+ years ago wasn't even close what it is today. Many trips were planned for weeks or a month.

  2. I'm surprised they didn't just have a meeting, just to meet!

  3. I care, that's who. Why not show some interest in history - oh yeah, too busy gaming I guess.

  5. Yes. It's a pity that the president who destroyed Social Security by moving the money into the "general accounts" fund didn't get to meet the Queen....

  6. Aren't the cons funny about how they ignore history? :) The SS money was misused long before LBJ; he at least got civil rights act passed, oh yeah, forgot, you're a young white "duuuuude" doesn't matter to you...

  7. I usually care about history but this is boring as shit. Especially considering Queen Elizabeth II is a reptilian shapeshifter... not kidding. Look it up.

  8. I care... and those who do not should not leave their marks here. Who wants to see that???

I find it astounding the two never met, and I believe there must be something more to it than circumstance, as LBJ, although not my favorite President, was no fool, and as Great Britain was the (arguably) second or third greatest world power at the time, it would have been fortuitous for the two to meet. I'll bet he met the Prime Minister!

  9. Presidents don't have reigns. They have terms.

  10. Sorry reptilian shapeshifter? David Ike wore only purple, for a year, then championed this movement.

the words moronic and gullible come to mind when people talk about reptilian shapeshifters.

  11. Canada's centennial was not in 1964, but in 1967. I have no idea why the Queen came to Canada in 1964.
